This is mainly a rant about the good, the bad, and the downright tasty…
Yesterday I decided to go food shopping at my local chain shopping center… I realized that mornings are awfully lonely without its friend breakfast… so I bought some cereal… what kind you ask?… well I’m glad you asked because this leads me to my first two things… the good and the downright tasty… while I was perusing the cereal selection… balancing in my head good taste with great price (frugality… that’s right)… I spotted a yellow tag (discount, and mission accomplished)… Reece’s puffs… mmmmmmmmmmm… 2 boxes for $5… next to it was the store brand… same weight… 13oz… and this was 2 for $3… so I thought with my wallet… and it turns out after eating it (I’m through a box already) they taste awesome too… so your stomach, tongue, and nose will also join in and thank you as well… so that covers the good and the downright tasty… but what’s the bad… this my friend’s is the rant…
Stop & Shop should Stop & reconsider their milk prices because I have already Stopped & started buying milk elsewhere… Stop & Shop sells its store brand for $3.99… WTFIWTBS (that stands for stop and shop is retarded)… Walgreen’s sells its milk for $2.99… that’s 25% less… from a place that can sell a 20oz bottle of soda for $1.50 (less than 2 liter bottles… but that’s another rant)… how can Stop & Shop do that… if that doesn’t make you angry consider this… 7/11 sells it’s milk… garelick no less… for $2.49… and just the other day I saw a gas station selling it’s milk (also garelick) for $1.99 a gallon… how can a major retailer of food charge %100 more for milk… in what world does a gas station buy more milk in bulk than a grocery store… but don’t get me wrong… I’m not pissed off about the price of milk (well kinda)… I’m pissed off that stores do that… it’s a warped take on supply and demand… I could understand if there was a shortage of milk and everyone raised the price… but this is just Stop & Shop price gauging…
P.S. they do it with eggs as well… oh and also if you want another bullshit thing they do… a 10lb bag of flour costs more per pound than a 5lb bag of flour at my local stop & shop… just to sucker in the bulk buying mentality…that’s messed up…
