***Update: situation seems to have been resolved HA BISKY!!!****

Recently some of our microwaving content has been flagged on youtube. The most recent is the airbag episode. What guidline does this episode break.

Here’s what they might be hitting us with… and my responses. (guidelines can be found here)
note: these might not be what they are pinning on us… as we have no idea… as youtube is giving us vague generic responses.

• “Don’t post videos showing bad stuff like animal abuse, drug abuse, under-age drinking and smoking, or bomb making.”

No one is using our video as instructions on how to make a bomb… no terrorist is blowing up a building with a bomb they constructed using a microwave and an airbag… that’s impractical and just plain stupid.

• “Dangerous Illegal Acts – While it might not seem fair” (you’re right… it doesn’t seem fair at all) ” to say you can’t show something because of what viewers theoretically might do in response, we draw the line at content that’s intended to incite violence or encourage dangerous, illegal activities that have an inherent risk of serious physical harm or death. This means not posting videos on things like instructional bomb making, ninja assassin training, sniper attacks, videos that train terrorists, or tips on illegal street racing. Any depictions like these should be educational or documentary and shouldn’t be designed to help or encourage others to imitate them.”

How can our video be described as intended to incite anything? “Any depictions like these… shouldn’t be designed to help or encourage others to imitate them.” How are our videos encouraging others to imitate us… we specifically say in the beginning “don’t try this at home” and we follow that up by saying it’s a bad idea.

Hey youtube read your own fucking guidelines… now because some idiot (who actually did do something wrong by 1. stealing content (his videos/background) 2. stealing youtube accounts … and did I mention also illegal activities) decides to disrrupt our lives for the “lulz”, we are being hurt. This is our job. I understand though youtube… I’d listen to this completely noble gentleman over us too… after all we’re just your partners!!!
